The Search
Welcome to “The Search.” The purpose of this program is to explore the proper method of examining the Bible to discover its meaning. We believe that the meaning of Scripture is synonymous with the truth and that loyalty to Christ involves the relentless pursuit of that meaning—both to know it and to be transformed by it.

"God is Always Near" (Psalm 22)
Jesus spoke these familiar words of lament from the cross: "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" (Mark 15:34). This sorrowful line comes from the first verse of Psalm 22 and it is one of several lines from that psalm which is used by the gospel writers in their telling of the crucifixion of Jesus. Let's find out what Psalm 22 means and how it corresponds to the death of Christ.
